About Scholarships

Arrowhead Scholarship Fund’s (ASF) purpose is to provide college scholarships to Arrowhead High School seniors. These scholarships typically range in award value from $500 to $3,000. Approximately 80 scholarships are available each year through ASF; these scholarships are exclusive to Arrowhead High School students.

Arrowhead Scholarship Fund is now able to accept completed applications for the 2019 Scholarship process.  Only completed applications can be submitted. Once the application has been submitted no editing is available.  Please be sure to double check your information before submitting your application. Only applications submitted by the deadline of 3:00 p.m. on February 19, 2019 will be considered.

ASF has been receiving Letters/Forms of Recommendation for the 2019 application process. Students have been curious if Letters/Forms have been submitted. Please click the "status" link below for a spreadsheet listing letters that have been received.  The spreadsheet is updated on a regular basis and the information as to when it was most recently updated can be found at the bottom of the sheet.  Please remember that Letters of Recommendation aren’t due until February 18, 2019.

Please note some of the transcripts we have received do not include 1st semester grades. You must request an update through Parchment to have your transcripts updated. We understand this may take a few days past the February 19 application deadline. If your transcripts do not currently include your 1st semester grades, please attach your current transcripts with your application and email your updated transcripts to asfapplication@arrowheadschools.org as soon as you receive them.

Below is a list of past “named” scholarships and recipients from either community businesses or families. You can view past offerings -- along with a brief description of each -- here.

Students continuing their education in either a 2- or 4-year college or vocational school submit applications. Scholarships are also awarded to students pursuing a particular area of interest or meeting a predetermined criteria set by the award donor.

Awards for scholarships are given based upon a number of criteria including G.P.A., ACT scores, as well as extra curricular school activities, leadership roles, community service, employment and letters of recommendation. Interviews may be conducted at the discretion of the committee.

A select committee of the board reviews all completed applications and determines the recipients of ASF scholarship monies. In cases where an award is from a community business or family, a representative for that award will work with the ASF committee to help choose the scholarship recipient.

Education is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire.
